These are Nikes with a past. First off, I absolutely love the style and coloring of them. I loved the Metal Max when they first came out, but never got a chance to get a pair of them. They are a bit small for me though, being a 10, but I couldn't pass them up when they were offered to me. These first appeared a few years ago on JockLocker.com, which was one of the best sites for sneaker fetishists to be, in a very hot but relatively simple series of photos there. Along with some other hot Nikes contemporary of the time. Anyway, turns out that they were too small for NikeAdidasBoy, as they were originally intended for somebody else. So, in a conversation with him, he asked me if I could wear them/wanted them. My response, was definitely a Yes. :-) Thanks again, dude.
