I saw these boots, or a pair very similar, on the feet of a technician for RoadRunner, when I first got cable modem service, he was very tall, probably about 6'5, and they were worn but in good shape, got a lot of good views of their soles as he'd bend down to work. I wasn't boot wearer at the time, so it wasn't until later, after a fairly icey/snowy early winter, that I decided to buy me a pair of boots, and thought about these, and bought them from altrec.com, they've since gone out of production, much to the dismay of several guys who've asked about them, in fact, these are probably the most coveted pair in my collection, they certainly get the most questions. As for the boots themselves, I like how they look, and they're pretty fun to wear, could be a bit softer for being in for long-periods of hiking though, all-around though, a good hot boot.
